No title means good title..
The above title is from the pharse "No news means good news".. lame i know... =X
Nothing really much happened for the last few days, except for yest.. the fri, i was practically staying at home stoning, watching tv, and very little of study.. was almost online the whole day online.. *guilty*
Yest was Guangyang's COC (Change of Command) Parade.. not bad for a new unit i guess... come to think of it, i learnt so many things from this school.. Somehow the cadets there make me realise how important it is for relations to exist between cadets and myself. Maybe i can't do as well my other peers, earning the respect they deserve by just what they do, but for me i have to earn the respect by building a rapport with them (cadets). I dunno if u guys know what i mean but to me, it all seems like when i start out as a CLT, i couldn't ear the respect of the cadets, and when they listened to what i said, it's all because of the rank, just the rank and nothing else.. What i would want to achieve is just for them to treat me as a fren, however bearing in mind that there's still a difference in rank, and would listen if i ASK them to and not what i ORDER them to.. I just hope to distinguisg that, at least outside uniform we can treat each other like friends but in uniform, things would still be the same, except that we respect each other at a different level, of which rank is involved, but not weighed as important as using my rank to order them what to do.. i wonder when or whether i would be able to achieve it..
Hahah, with that it brings me to what i asked marcus yesterday on the wau home.. why must there be so much differences between cadets and CLTs that most of the time, both parties cannot even be frenz? Some may say such things just come naturally.. i dunno.. to some extent, maybe based on past experiences.. i understand the part that there is fear which the cadets whom u befriend with may just climb over ur head one day and it's highly possible i would happen.. but what if such things may be prevented, or maybe such put under control.. Like what gary said before, "Respect is what u get, Rank is what u earn".. very true.. many people in organisations are respected because of their appointment or rank, but i just hope that would change and instead, mutual respect can be achieved..Still, what exactly is the barrier between CLTs and cadets befriending each other? if such a situation cannot exist, why? if it can be solved, how should the approach be, as after all there's still a difference in rank etc..
Back to the COC parade (apologize for digressing).. felt sad that the part Ds are stepping down for the Part Cs but can't be helped.. (who ask people to grow older as time passes.. =X) Overall the parade was great, apart from some serious cock-ups.. =X esp with the pace stick thingy, and there was still many enquiries at the last minute.. sigh... parade started @ 0830, with guests from Montfort NCC, Braddel-Westlake, not to forget Khalisah, Terence, and the 'lao jiaos' like Fauzi and GG..hahahaha.. in any case, good to see the clts again, sure miss the days when i worked with them and all... thank goodness everything went well and good efforts made guys.. Happy for Jingyi also, made it to USM (Unit Sergeant Major).. and Boon Kiat AUSM.. next on was the games session with BWL.. Haha.. was quite shock when guangyang ncc themselves have jerseys for basketball and soccer.. lol.. guess the jerseys brought them luck coz gyss won bwl in soccer and basketball (the abilities are there too.. Haha..) but not for Captain Ball.. Poor Zhimin, for no reason got punched on the face by one of the guys, her specs also kena dented likke no one's business.. =X Haha.. also alot of injuries.. like that Jingyi, for no reason kena 2 blood clots i think, and others screaming like no one's business.. (that Christine and Jazreel..) Oh well, enough of those le.. when everything ended, everyone sat down nicely while Terence gave a debrief.. after that Miss Lim (my CO) said need to drag time, so bo bian.. Wanted to play the Polar Bear game but too many people (100 plus ppl then..), in the end played Squirrel Game (the one with the Fire and Earthquake game..) haha.. managed to drag sometime.. got 2 groups kena sabotaged to do the Banana Dance by request of Miss Lim.. asked the cadets and Terence to sabo the COs of both school, and later in the end kena sabo-ed by dunno who to go do also.. sian... had to go up to do the forfeit.. sian also.. after that Gg and Fauzi went off.. left with me and the Part Cs.. went to Diana's house to get the food for the BBQ later..went there, realised i know her mum also (knew her as we worked in the same department before @ Carrefour before i entered Poly..) how small can a world be?
Stoned there and slept for nearly 30 mins @ her house.. Paiseh sia... then went to picked Jingyi, and after that waited for Choo Kit and Firdaus to come to carry all the stuff.. took cab there.. kind of slacked there and all.. went out twice to get food coz not enough by the time another half of the crowd ae coming.. went out, first time almost got enough money to pay for everything sia.. paiseh again.. second time, i was blur enough to know where i put others' belongings and the money... sigh.. what's wrong with me sia..didn't ate much for the bbq, went off around 9 with Dennis, Marcus, Jingyi and Kenneth.. by the time reach home, around 10 le... bathed and slept..hahahaha.. that's all for sat le.. too lazy to out in all the details...
here are some pics to for GYSS Parade..
